Wounded Vets Association

WoundedVetsThere are many organizations out there to help veterans with problems associated with PTSD, accidents, and minor wounds, but we felt it necessary to focus on those veterans that have a Purple Heart for their wound (meaning that it had to come from direct enemy contact). We have found that other non-profits were spending a large amount of money on their personal expenses and not starting new programs. Since most of our founders are severely wounded service members, we are familiar with organizations that are already doing a great job in specific therapies and staying within a budget and still deliver on the promise to our veterans. WoundedVets.org will also be unique in the fact that we are encouraging any Coalition Force to have their severely wounded join us, as we have planned trips to Canada, Hungary, and Australia in the next 2 years to start with. More Nations of the Coalition Forces will be visited over time to connect with their severely wounded. We hope that the veterans can exchange information on different therapies and ideas that can help each other. They will also benefit from meeting and staying in touch with counterparts in other countries that have similar injuries. We already have donors funding scholarships to help wounded veterans open or maintain businesses and sponsor additional trips that help build the core strengths. We are also in the final stages of setting up an agreement with a US military jump team to do tandem skydiving for veterans with almost any injury on an ongoing basis.
